Welcome back, faculty (and any eager students checking out Moodle this month)! The Ed Tech team has a few handy updates as we gear up for Fall 2022.
Quickmail is back! We upgraded Moodle this summer and were able to safely restore Quickmail to your classes. We are excited to bring this back to our community. Quickmail is self-service, so you can turn it on for any classes in which you would like to use it. If you'd like setup instructions or assistance, please e-mail us at email@example.com or book an appointment with a member of the team. We're in the process of adding this to our help guide.
Where are my fall courses? A reminder that Fall 2022 courses won't be visible in the left-hand navigation bar until the first day of classes. To find them before then, please log in and look at the Course overview box towards the top of your Dashboard. Course overview should be set to "All" or "Future" in order to ensure that Fall 2022 classes are available to you. You can also click on your name in the upper right and select "Profile" to see your own profile, which may also list the courses with which you are affiliated.
Our annual course deletion process is complete. Courses from Summer 2018, Fall 2018, January 2019, and Spring 2019 have been deleted from Moodle, in accordance with the College's official course deletion policy. The Ed Tech team does not retain course backups and cannot restore this aged content. If you would like to consult with us on ways to backup and store previous Moodle content going forward, you're most welcome to meet with a member of the team.
We're here to help you gear up for Fall 2022! Got questions? Make an appointment with a member of the team, or e-mail us. We'll be at new faculty orientation on September 1, and new students who want to learn more about how Moodle works can come find us at LITS' NSO Scavenger Hunt, September 2. We're also in the process of setting up some faculty drop-in sessions; they'll be on our support calendar when we've gotten them organized. We look forward to connecting with you in the coming weeks!
Lindsey, Sarah, Matt, Stephanie, and introducing Annie!
