Updates
- Streaming video links: Changes to the College's video streaming policy will impact the way students will access some video titles. Faculty: Be sure to check any links to streaming video, and remember to submit requests for any video reserves for each semester.
- AI resources and support: LITS' Ed Tech team has created a Spring 2024 guide to AI for faculty, and is happy to consult on AI questions specific to your course.
Reminders
- Finding spring courses: Spring courses will show up in the left-hand navigation bar in Moodle by the first day of classes. You can see them in the Course overview box on your Dashboard at any time, though! Make sure that box is set to include "Future" courses if your courses are not yet in the left-hand sidebar.
- Course visibility is set by faculty: Students, courses become visible to you in Moodle only after faculty make them visible. If you cannot see a course in Moodle that you expect to see, you can check in with the faculty member; we recommend asking at the first class meeting if the course is not visible to you by then. Please also double-check your enrollment in my.mtholyoke. You must be enrolled in a course for it to be made visible to you. If you are a faculty member ready to share your course with your students, please follow these instructions to make your course visible to them.
If you are a faculty member looking for support, the Educational Technology team is available for appointments Monday through Friday. Students with questions are asked to begin by e-mailing asklits@mtholyoke.edu, starting a new Moodle ticket in the AskLITS Portal, or stopping by the Technology Help Desk. Many of your questions can be answered via AskLITS.
