Welcome to the Spring 2026 Semester!

Welcome to the start of the Spring 2026 semester! Read on for some updates for students and faculty, as well as information about our Canvas pilot.
- Students, courses become visible to you in Moodle only after faculty make them visible. If you cannot see a course in Moodle that you expect to see, you can check in with the faculty member. Please also double-check your enrollment in my.mtholyoke.
- Instructors, if you are ready to share your course with your students, please follow these instructions to make your course visible to them. Please check the Moodle Help Guide if you are adding new course content or transferring content from previous semesters. You can also find useful LITS information about teaching resources in the Start of Semester Faculty Guide.
- Need help? If you are an instructor looking for support, the Educational Technology team is available for appointments Monday through Friday. Students with questions are asked to begin by emailing asklits@mtholyoke.edu, starting a new Moodle ticket in the AskLITS Portal, or stopping by the Technology Help Desk. Many of your questions can be answered via AskLITS.
- Our Canvas pilot program is now live! MHC will be moving from Moodle to Canvas in Fall 2026. While the majority of the campus will continue to use Moodle for the Spring 2026 semester, we are excited to announce that twelve faculty members have officially launched their courses in Canvas this week as part of our spring pilot program. Visit the Canvas section of the Summit site for the roadmap and updates. Students, if you are not sure whether your class is using Moodle or Canvas, please contact your instructor.
